Our Work

Location: Village near Rawalpindi, Pakistan

Duration: 5 days

People seen: over 100 (Children & Adults from age 10 to 90’s)

Summary:
We set up a drop in camp, at our home in the village. We made an announcement in the local area for anyone with hearing concerns to come and see us. It must be for those who cannot afford a hearing assessment/aid. It was dedicated to those who were very poor. People would attend daily and get in a numbered queue to be seen. At one point we had 50 people sitting outside waiting to be seen. Many people had perforations due to syringing. Many young people had severe language difficulties due to parents not being able to afford assessments and or hearing aids hence significant speaking challenges.
